SoCal Removal was contracted by the University of Irvine, California to provide needed exterior demolition services of 6 modular units at the Child Development Center. This project consisted of removing approximately 40 tons of concrete rebar, steel entryways, commercial installed chain link fencing and a large red storage. The type of heavy equipment used was a Caterpillar 242D skid steer loader and backhoe with thumb/breaker attachments.
Once the aggregate and the steel entry ramps had been physically removed, SoCal Removal imported 2 loads of Cal-Trans Class 2 Base Aggregate to spread and smooth the surface for rough grading and to provide safety caution for nearby children.
